Why Westminster?

Westminster was founded in 1998 as Oak Mountain Classical School by parents with a very simple desire: they wanted more for their children.  Not “more” in the worldly sense that tempts us to believe we deserve everything we want, but the “more” that comes from wanting our children to be prepared.

Beyond this, they wanted their children to have the skills to succeed in this world,  and to be ready to serve Christ and His kingdom, whatever the task.  They wanted their children educated in a place where they would be encouraged to grow in grace, to embrace a life of integrity, and to develop hearts of compassion.  This is the “more”  Westminster offers.
